Jul 9th – NCF (National Care Foundation) Inaugurated it’s first livelihood project in Mattancherry, Kerala by providing 8 sewing machines to empower families through tailoring and socializing with likeminded ladies. NCF 2020 mission to empower mothers of the special needs kids by providing materials as well as connect them with small family group of similar needs. This women empowerment project started under the co-ordination of Mrs Fasila Asif along with 7 other ladies. NCF team and women group Mattancherry hope that it will financial as well as motivation to the family to overcome their ongoing difficulties.
Kochi Corporation standing committee chairman T K Ashraf officially handed over the equipment’s to the these families. NCF team have provided guidance and support to these mothers during pre-project review meeting.

NCF has identified 19 other families in same area who are in similar needs and plan to integrate them with this project. This will be based on the 6 months of current unit performance and impact.

NCF appreciate the local women group , Govt officials and our donors for make this project a reality. NCF is in the progress of establishing similar project in other parts of the Kerala.

Autism Spectrum Disorders and Diet

AUTISM is a developmental disability that appears in children during their first three years of life. Autism affects the development of social and communication skills’. Autism spectrum disorders impacts the nervous system affects, the overall emotional ,social and physical health of the affected individual .An Autism child need almost all therapy like speech therapy, psychology treatment, occupational therapy etc. Children are also diagnosed by a group of doctors usually containing a neurologist ,psychologist ,speech therapist ,developmental pediatrician ,learning consultant and the use of parental input about the child’s abilities and behaviors .once diagnosed by the professionals can help the families design an appropriate treatment plan .

NCF(National Care Foundation) works for children with special needs and their family. Some children have many skills like singing ,writing ,painting etc. It helps to bring them up in it. Treatment can be help, but this condition cant be cured. These children need special care in every activities in their life. We have to be one of them when we interact with them. As well as encourage the children in their education by being with them. NCF(National Care Foundation) go forward by treating these children as they are also one among them. visiting the centers of every special needs children is also a part of NCF .They make them understand about their future and why NCF is with them.

NCF started working together with Blood 4 Life a charitable organization based in Trivandrum , Kerala who worked extensively with financially week patients who are in need. Blood 4 life helps poor patients who often need food while they are in hospitals or they assist patients for blood and various other needs.  Blood 4 Life works in and around major hospitals like Trivandrum Medical College , Sri Chitra Center , Regional Cancer Center.  We hope our partnership will to benefit several poor patients .

NCF started educational support project at Calicut. This is one NCF first international project.  This humble beginning will help with many kids who are hospitalized due to cancer. NCF team worked with Calicut medical college authorities and other NGOs to begin a new initiative.  This will help to provide educational assistance more than 20 kids while they are getting treated in the hospital. This project inaugurated by Hon Mayor of Calicut Mr. Ravindran Thottathil. There are many Drs ,Hospital staff  and kids along with their parents attended the event.

Parents and kids are very happy to see such initiative which will bring some joy to kids life as they continue to receive educational assistance and participate their school exams.

NCF representatives visited SLCH Monday, Sept. 20. NCF delegates got warm welcome in St Luious children hospital and spent time with Vice President Gary LaBlance.  It was an experience for delegates to visit one of the prestigious children hospital in US. Mr Gary took delegates through the hospital and explained various process and procedures they follow.  Hospital authority warmly accepted our invitation to visit Kerala and also support organizations future programs best of their ability.
